Certified Welding Inspector required in Wexford on a permanent basis with a well-established engineering and fabrication business with an excellent reputation for quality, innovation, and investing in its people.

The Role
As the Welding Inspector, you’ll play a key role in ensuring all welding and fabrication work meets the highest quality and compliance standards. Working closely with production and engineering teams, you’ll help maintain exceptional workmanship across a range of stainless steel and carbon steel fabrication projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out visual inspections of welded fabrications.
  • Ensure compliance with EN1090, approved Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), and relevant welding standards.
  • Review welding documentation, material certificates, and inspection records.
  • Identify non-conformances and support corrective actions.
  • Coordinate and support Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities where required.
  • Maintain accurate inspection and traceability documentation.
  • Support internal and external quality audits.
  • Promote a strong culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • CSWIP, IWI, or equivalent Welding Inspection qualification.
  • Experience inspecting stainless steel and carbon steel fabrications.
  • Strong understanding of EN1090 and welding quality standards.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret weld symbols.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work collaboratively within a production environment.
