Electrician

CREGG are hiring for an Electrical Technician, Electrician or Electrical Engineer to join a leading Manufacturing company on their Limerick site.

Electricians, Electrical Technicians, Electrical Maintenance Technicians back ground would suit this position.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you'll be responsible for delivering planned preventative maintenance (PMI), responding to equipment breakdowns, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Be Doing

Planned Maintenance & Reliability

  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PMI) activities to the highest standard.
  • Carry out inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems.
  • Complete maintenance tasks using the Shire maintenance management system.
  • Record maintenance activities accurately to meet company and regulatory requirements.

Breakdown Support

  • Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns.
  • Diagnose electrical faults using logical and systematic fault-finding techniques.
  • Restore equipment safely and efficiently to minimise production downtime.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to engineering improvement projects across the site.
  • Support the installation, commissioning and ongoing maintenance of new and existing equipment.
  • Work with machine operators to identify recurring issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to the PMI Coordinator and Maintenance Manager.

What We're Looking For

You'll be hands-on  with a positive attitude and a passion for delivering reliable solutions.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Knowledge of planned preventative maintenance (PPM/PMI) systems.
  • A good understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • A willingness to develop new skills and work across multiple engineering disciplines.
