Transport Manager
CREGG Recruitment are looking for a Transport Manager, for our client in Shannon, Co. Clare.
Our client are a renowned Transportation & Logistics company.
Transport Manager – Job description:
- Manage collection and distribution channels through sub-contractors.
- Administration and KPI reporting internally and for customers.
- Manage the daily linehaul trailer requirement.
- Manage all department costs.
- Ensure all daily transport costs are completed efficiently on a daily basis.
- Review working practices with General Manager to improve efficiency.
- Represent the depot at operational meetings and conference calls.
- Manage the contract to improve profitability of collection/delivery service.
- Manage warehouse staffing requirement to ensure there is sufficient cover.
- Work with other departments on management of Health & Safety for depot.
- Responsible for ensuring all staff under his/her guidance are following the company policies and regulations.
- Develop schemes and set strategic objectives to create motivation and job satisfaction for all staff reporting direct to the postholder.
- Ensure that all relevant staff receive correct and adequate training opportunities to allow them to achieve their targets and perform their tasks with enthusiasm and efficiency.
Salary:
- €50,000 per year
Hours of Work:
- Monday – Friday
- 09:00 – 17:00
Job requirements – Transport Manager:
- To participate in the annual performance appraisal and objective setting scheme.
- To work in accordance with all company policies including Health and Safety, Employment, Staff, Quality and Environmental.
- It is important that during the employment with the Company and any time thereafter, that any information relating to the affairs of the Company is treated with the highest level of confidentiality.
- To have a detailed knowledge of and apply the Depot’s Business Plan in all aspects of development.
- To be active in the Account Management Program.
